Well, what can I say about something this easy and good?

The Multi-DNC was very easy to set up and has lots of remote and edit functions. I have found the backplot feature to be very fast and easy to use, you can step through a file and locate G-code in reference to real-world geometry very easily, the line # of code is displayed and is easily found on the DNC side. We have yet to figure out how to use all of the functions such as graphing in Drip-Feed mode, but I am sure it will be up to the caliber of all the other features we have mastered so far. I've been looking for a system this good for a long time, it was an easy sell to the guys on the shop floor and in our Cad-Cam department. Thanks a lot!

Multi-DNC is one of the best, We at Master Metal Engineering have been using this software since 1998. Currently we have 14 DNC machines hooked up and pulling programs from the server where we keep them backed up nightly. The only time I have to do anything with the software is when I set-up a new machine, it runs flawlessly. Easy to use set-up and the online help is excellent.

With 40 DNC machines running 3 shifts it was a nightmare getting programs to the machines. The system we had in place was cumbersome to say the least. Programs had to be transferred to the upload computer. Operators had to walk over to the upload computer get it ready and set several switch boxes to connect to their machine. The operators would then go back to the machine and get it ready to receive the program, then go back to the computer and send the program. There always seemed to be a line of people at the upload computer waiting their turn to transfer a program.

Now with Multi-DNC we’re able to connect to the file server where all the programs are stored, so no more having to transfer programs to a separate computer. Multi-DNC also gives the operators the ability to upload programs to the machine without ever having to leave their machine. The operators send a request for a program from their machine and get the machine ready to receive. Multi-DNC receives the request and sends the program to the machine. It’s great!! The software will do over 96 simultaneous transfers. Now I never have an operator waiting for a program. The software is very user friendly, even with 12 different controls with all the different parameters it was a snap to setup. It has it’s own built-in editor for any necessary program changes. Multi-DNC has made my job a lot easier with a lot less headaches

Accellent Inc has been using Multi-DNC as a corporate solution for their Manufacturing needs in all their plants since 1996. Accellent's corporate HQ has 9 Multi-DNC systems, 4 - 32 Port systems, 1 - 16 Port system, 1 - 48 Port system, 1 - 4 Port System, and 2 - 8 Port Systems. Other Accellent Plants make use of Multi-DNC's Client/Server system. In total Accellent has 250 CNC Machine Tools that depend on Multi-DNC 24/7. Before we purchased Multi-DNC we used laptops with a simple communication program to load and unload programs into our DNC Swiss machines. Although laptops worked, backup of the DNC programs from the laptop wasn’t performed regularly, the laptops lasted less than a year due to normal use or wear and tear, to use a laptop meant you had to go search for one, and it was easier to leave the programs in the DNC control if the part could be run in the near future. In the case of some of our second operation DNC’s where the programs are small, we had the same programs stored in 5 or 6 machine controls. When a new program was needed at a second operation DNC it was entered into the control by MDI. It took time and mistakes were made, but it was easier than finding and using the laptop.

Before the laptops we used an RS232 cable based system with switch boxes. The switch to laptops was made when we got more than 40 machines and switching to the correct machine required multiple switch boxes. We started with two Multi-DNC 32 port systems when it was still written for Windows 3.1. We had some problems with it because Multi-DNC wasn’t always stable under Windows 3.1. Since the laptops had worked all the time, and we had used an RS232 cable system before the laptops, Multi-DNC was viewed as a step backwards. We started looking at alternative systems just before the release of Multi-DNC for Windows XP/2000/NT/98/95.

Since the initial release for Windows XP/2000/NT/98/95, Multi-DNC has continued to become more solid and more useable features have been incorporated. When we’ve had problems connecting new DNC controls we get fast and accurate service from tech support. The capability of stripping and converting characters during send and receive has been a great tool.

The benefits we realized by using Multi-DNC are:

* All DNC programs are saved to the Network which is backed up daily.

* MDI at the DNC controls is rarely used.

DNC programs can quickly be shared between our 9 systems (212 Machines).
* Saving or retrieving a DNC program can be done without leaving the DNC machine. (Multi-DNC's REMOTE function)

* There are no laptops to search for and replace / repair. Multi-DNC does what we need when we need it.

To stay ahead in today's competitive environment, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our production methods and eliminate non- value added activities in shop floor, which enables us to pass the savings on to our customers.

We have 20 DNC machines in constant production 24 hrs a day on the shop floor. Our production lots are average out 2 to 3 hours. We would normally have spent at least an hour a day to walking back and forth to send and receive the files between machines and our computer. We have been using Multi-DNC for many years. We started with the DOS version using Digi-boards on 16 machines. We were so happy with the performance and the support we received that we went straight to ****Multi-DNC**** when it was time for us to upgrade our system

We are now running a Multi-DNC 32 port system with Client Server. Multi-DNC’s remote features have been a real time saver in a shop our size.

It’s hard to believe that a system so easy to use is so powerful a stable. The local support is fantastic too. Anytime I’ve had any questions there has always been a prompt response.

We have been using Multi-DNC for many years. We started with the DOS version using Digi-boards on 16 machines. We took over an existing machine shop, one of the problems we had to overcome was our dnc communication. We checked out different dnc communication packages, one of which was Multi-DNC.

****Multi-DNC**** came out to our facility and demonstrated the software and assured us they could solve our communication problems. They gave us a very reasonable quote and had us up and going immediately. One of our machines began giving us problems again. Fadal assured us it was a computer hardware problem. ****Multi-DNC**** came out with their test equipment and in a short time and discovered our communication board on the Fadal was going out. Since then we have moved our shop and ****Multi-DNC**** helped in our move by installing our entire computer network and DNC communication cables.

Multi-DNC has been a very stable and powerful product, the remote features are a real time saver while working on the shop floor. The support we received has been great and we would highly recommend ****Multi-DNC**** and their product line.

In the Racing Industry Crankshafts vary as much as the individual purchasing them, with this in mind one can only imagine how to keep tract of 5000+ programs. Multi-has helped us overcome this hurdle. The Remote Call/Dir. and Edit functionality save our engineers valuable time and frustration. The operators can make changes on the floor, these changes can then be sent back to our programming department. At the pace that Technology changes its nice to know that your software investment grows with you.
